This 1907 Holsman Highwheeler arrived at the shop mostly complete and in good condition for it's 100 years. The photo on the right shows the deteriorated wheel. The photos below from left to right show the old hub for the wheel and the new wooden blank being turned for the new hub and the completed hub with the wood and metal parts pressed together. The last photo shows parts being degreased for examination.
The photos on the left and right show the drive train. The photos below from left to right show the seat and the gas tank, the cross shaft drive pulleys, the removal of the suspension and disassembly of the seat corner detail.
The photo on the top left shows the drive gears with new chains and the top right photo shows the drive shiv being fitted to one of the new wheels for the rope drive. The photo bottom left shows the step pads restored.
